The following is a summary of a standard homeowners policy:

Dwelling
(Coverage A)
This portion of the policy covers the house itself.
Other Structures
(Coverage B)
This portion of the policy covers structures such as a garage or shed.
Personal Property
(Coverage C)
This portion of the policy covers your personal belongings such as tv's, stereos, furniture, and clothing
Loss Of Use
(Coverage D)
This portion of the policy covers you in case you had a house fire and need to live in a hotel and eat meals in a restaurant.
Personal Liability
(Coverage E)
This portion of the policy covers you in case you were found negligent for someone slipping and falling on your property.
Medical Payments
(Coverage F)
This portion of the policy will pay medical expenses for someone getting injured on your property.

Earthquakes and floods are not covered under a standard homeowners policy. You can add earthquake coverage to your homeowners policy by endorsement. Flood insurance is a separate policy written through the National Flood Insurance Plan. We can obtain a flood insurance policy if you are interested.
